It's a .....

My appointment went great and baby was very cooperative.  It took all of about 2 seconds to see that he is definitely ALL boy!!

We would have been thrilled with a girl too, but I'm so excited that Caleb will have a baby brother.

Now comes the hard part ... thinking of a name.

I'll try to get Charles to scan some pictures at the office so maybe in the next few days you can actually see our baby boy.

The Big Day

Tomorrow I have my big ultrasound, and I am so excited.

Boy or girl?  What do you think?

I'll answer that question and tell all about it at some point tomorrow afternoon or evening.

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

Just a quick little post, more for my sake than yours.

Caleb went through a little phase a while back, where if you asked him for a kiss he would plant his opened mouth on your cheek.  Not exactly right, but he got the general idea.

Well, it became very ... let's say ... wet.  So we quit asking.

But tonight, for the first time, I got an actual, legitimate, no doubt about it, kiss from my little man.  Right on the cheek, with puckered little lips and a smacking sound and all.  It was precious.

I believe Charles' comment to Caleb was, "Oh gosh, if you didn't already have her wrapped around your little finger, you do now", and you know what, he's right.  I'm wrapped pretty tight.

It's going by so quickly

This pregnancy has gone by so quickly for me.  I have a hard time believing I'm already halfway there.  I am 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant today.  And in less than a week we will find out if this little one is a boy or girl.

I get asked alot whether I want a boy or girl this time, and to be honest, I thought I'd have more of a preference one way or the other.  I remember thinking, when I was pregnant with Caleb,  that it didn't matter at all whether he was a boy or girl, I'd be perfectly happy with either.  But I expected to have a preference this time, I mean I already have a boy, so do I want a girl??  Or do I want Caleb to have a little brother, just 18 months younger, to play with??  And is answer is ... yes! A girl would be wonderful.  I'd get to do all the little girl things I didn't get to do with Caleb, I'd get to buy lots of pink, there would be 2 boys and 2 girls in our family.  And on the other hand ... yes ... I would love Caleb to have a little brother to play with, to be best friends with.

I love being Caleb's mama, the mama to a little boy.  And I am so excited to be the mama to another little one, whether it be a boy or a girl.  We will be thrilled either way.

And I'm just hoping that the second half of my pregnancy goes by as quickly as the first half has.

The last of the vacation pictures

I have so many pictures from this vacation, but I thought I'd finish up with some professional pictures we had taken, while in Destin, Florida.  If you're ever in that area and need a photographer, I'd highly recommend Amber Green.  She did a great job.

beach bums

no pictures yet, sorry. I'm posting this from my phone.

This week has been great. Caleb is loving his time here. he loves being in the water and has even taken to the sand more than I expected him to. his curls have come out more than ever with all the water and humidity down here, which is super cute. he likes wearing his hat and sunglasses when we go out (just like daddy).

We're having lots of fun and I'm planning on taking my camera down to the pool and beach tomorrow to get some pictures, which I'll try to get posted on here soon.

week one is almost over but we still have another whole week.

Vacation Time

Well after a LONG car ride, we made it to the beach yesterday afternoon. Caleb was so good in the car, and it went Much better than I expected it to.

We spent some time at the pools today, and hopefully tomorrow we'll make it down to the beach.

I'll try to put some pictures up soon. I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
