Christmas Night

It's cold outside. Caleb is snuggled all warm in his bed, exhausted from a very long day. He did manage to squeeze one nap in late this afternoon, but it was far short from the amount of time he normally spends napping each day.

We spent the day with family; talking, laughing, eating, opening presents. It was a wonderful time. Caleb received some fun gifts, but to be honest, he enjoyed playing with the wrapping and tissue paper the most.

He got to show off his new skills (sitting, rolling, almost crawling) for his great-grandparents, great-aunts and uncles, and cousins, and he threw smiles around like crazy. He only got fussy for a short bit, when he was so exhausted he just couldn't take it anymore, but after a little snooze he was right back to his happy old self.

Caleb's first Christmas was lots of fun, but now ... it's time for bed. Like I said, it's been a LONG day.
